Step 1. From the best in the business
We partner with the most trustworthy farms on the East Coast to bring the best meat to your home. This means humanely raised animals that are always 100% grass-fed and pasture raised with no antibiotics. We hand pick and create relationships with select farmers that we trust so that you can feel good about being a meat-eater again.
Our partner farms practice the holistic-grazing style of pioneers such as Allan Savory and Ian Mitchell-Innes, which maintains animal health and well-being, and creates a healthier environment.
step 2. professionally butchered & packaged
Here at Hamlet we think nose to tail and we value the whole animal. Our goal is to not carry any inventory for extended periods because we want you to get the freshest meat. Waste is just not an option for Hamlet.
We use local USDA butchers who treat the animals as humanely and respectfully as possible. They also know how to maximize the usage of each animal, so the least amount is wasted and you get a variety of interesting and delicious cuts of meat.
Each cut of meat is vacuum sealed and labeled in clear plastic and frozen for delivery, so you don't have to rush to cook the meat.
step 3. delivery to Your door
After we receive your order, we carefully pack up and and ship your meat in insulated cold packaging. We also allow for pick-ups to be arranged at our partner: Soho Strength Labs.
If you need a custom order, or are looking for a rush delivery send us a note or visit our Custom Butchering page and we will work with our suppliers to satisfy your needs.
Step 4. Will it fit in your freezer?
We know that apartment living can be tight at times, so we've adjusted our Share size (and pricing, accordingly) to work best for City Dwellers. A Meat Share takes up about .45 cubic feet of space, or about 1/3rd of a standard-sized residential refrigerator's freezer (as the image in Step 2 illustrates).
We calculate that each Meat Share will feed one person for 25 servings at an average rate of consumption.
